ARC Retail and Downing Bentley merge - June 2019

ARC Retail are delighted to announce the completion of the merger with Cheltenham-based retail property specialists Downing Bentley. Pete Downing will remain as a consultant to ARC Retail.

Yate Shopping Centre - April 2019

On behalf of Tesco, ARC Retail were appointed as joint agents alongside Morgan Williams to lease 3 units which were surplus to requirements.  We are delighted to have completed the final letting to Bush Healthcare having concluded the two other lettings to The Children’s Hospice and Candles and Extra.

ARC Retail have been appointed as joint leasing agents in the marketing of Bakers Quay, Gloucester Docks, a new mixed use leisure development which is strategically located between the canal, the new Next superstore, Peel Retail Park and the Gloucester Quays factory outlet centre.

Phase 1 is complete and includes the Provender Mill comprising 47 new build residential apartments and 5,339 sq ft of ground floor retail / café / restaurant accommodation.  The Engine Shed converted to a 5,634 sq ft Beefeater restaurant, a 104 bedroom hotel for Premier Inn and drive thru for Costa.

Phase 2 includes Downings: conversion to 42 residential apartments over 17,963 sq ft of restaurant accommodation overlooking an extended Merchants Road.  The Malthouse: conversion to 87 residential apartments.  Transit Shed: rebuild and extended to provide a fantastic canal side restaurant with external terrace.

Appointed as leasing agents in two development sites in Twigworth and Innsworth, Gloucestershire.

Twigworth is a new local centre comprising 12,916 sq ft, 725 homes and a primary school. Highly prominent location fronting the A38 linking Gloucester / Tewkesbury.

Innsworth is a 10 acre site at the junction of Frog Furlong Lane and Innsworth Lane occupying a prominent position opposite existing housing and on the main road linking Gloucester and Cheltenham.  Access will be further improved with the construction of a brand new link to the A40 adjacent to the site.  The development forms part of a wider mixed use scheme that also includes 1,300 new homes, an office park and a new business park.

A host of new occupiers have recently taken representation in The Brunel Shopping Centre Swindon, who will trade alongside existing retailers Sainsbury's, Boots, Marks & Spencer and Waterstones.

Unit 5 Brunel Plaza has been let to heath-food food retailer Grape Tree on a new 10 year lease. 

84 Regent Street has been let to outdoor-wear retailer Trespass on a new 3 year lease.

40-41 The Arcade has been let to escape-room operator City Mazes on a new 5 year lease.

In The Crossing Food Hub, Unit H has been let to Burger Priest restaurant on a new 15 year lease. Also in The Crossing, Unit B has been let to Fillerz cafe on a new 10 year lease.

Acting on behalf of The Bristol Dogs and Cats Home Trust, ARC Retail has agreed a simultaneous lease surrender and new lease of 86 East Street, Bedminster to CeX Franchising Ltd. The property comprises 1,249 sq ft of ground floor sales space, with further ancillary accommodation. ARC Retail acted for the outgoing tenant and Cameron Trafford acted for the incoming tenant.
